Clients often ask us to “do only what is absolutely necessary”. Well, the client is the boss, though we find it hard sometimes to hold our fire and stick to commas and full stops. Every text must work in its own way. Our job is to make it work. We do not (usually) alter more than necessary, but neither do we alter less. Our clients have trusted us for over 20 years. The only line we draw is when they ask us to proofread artificially translated texts.

To tell the truth, our trade is not exactly a thrill ride. Au contraire: working on a text is hard, and yet the result should read with the greatest of ease, without the reader noticing all the effort. Nonetheless, our work is important, and we are good at it. Spend your time doing the things you really enjoy, while we take care of your writing.
